SIBU: A motorcyclist died on the spot while the other motorcyclist was severely injured when their machines collided head-on along a straight dark road in a residential area in Sibu Jaya around 7pm yesterday.

Jerry Jackson, 19, an upper six secondary school student living in Sibu Jaya died from the impact of the collision.

Sibu Jaya police sent the body to hospital at 10.30pm.

Meanwhile, Nelson Kanyan, 19, from Kanowit also from Sibu Jaya suffered a concussion besides injuring his chest and getting his knees and chin fractured from the impact of the accident.

Nelson was sent by ambulance to hospital and admitted at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) around 8.30pm.
